Job Announcement for Strengthening Lasting Peace in Kosovo and Serbia project

CARE International Balkans (an equal opportunity employer) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for project management and technical expert positions for an upcoming project opportunity CARE is applying for.


Project Summary  
“Strengthening Lasting Peace in Kosovo and Serbia” is a complex 3-year project targeting marginalised population groups, youth and women to undertake initiatives that would advance their position, but also create opportunities for mutual learning, best practice sharing and cooperation between project stakeholders and beneficiaries in Kosovo and Serbia. The project will also focus on developing civil society actors and generating economic opportunities and job creation. The project will cooperate with multiple stakeholders and project partners representing the target groups and those working towards the socio-economic inclusion of the most marginalised groups and individuals, including IDPs. Key technical themes: governance; peacebuilding; gender equality.


The Opportunities

CARE is seeking qualified individuals to assume delegated responsibility for the management and coordination of the project and experts who could provide technical assistance to partners and stakeholders.  



All candidates should possess at least University degree/diploma in management, business development, social studies or related field. Minimum 5 years of (I)NGO programming experience, preferably in managing large, multi-year institutional grants from donors such as DFID, EU and the UN.. Essential experience also includes:

  • Good knowledge of donor procedures and compliance
  • Proven presentation skills
  • Experience in project M&E planning and design
  • Excellent command of spoken and written local and English language and excellent reporting skills in English language. Excellent computer skills.
  • Clean and up to date driver’s license, category B with extensive driving experience.
  • Personality and skills to work proactively and under tight deadlines and as part of a team.
