Agricultural Cooperative “EKO BUDUĆNOST” of our partner organization “Budućnost” from Modriča, within the project “ Covid-19 Nexus response for improving the socio-economic situation of marginalized people in 6 Western Balkans countries”, has secured funds to purchase a tiller, to be able to prep soil for planting various sorts of vegetables at their greenhouse of 200 m².

As they plan to expand the production and assortment, it will be used for their fruit plantation of 3000 m² in the open. 

So far, they had to hire a person that owned a triller to do the soil preparation and now that they own it, they’ll be able to make savings and hire more women for the seasonal job at the plantations with the aim of their economic empowerment.

We hope this project support will ease the work of all women, survivors of violence, who see the opportunity to work with “EKO BUDUĆNOST” upon their time spent in the Safe house run by “Budućnost”.
