Open dialogue for greater opportunities for women in business: Local actors and EWI grantees discussed in Nikšić

Nikšić, March 18 – As part of EWI project activities, a dialogue was organized with actors from the local community with the aim of introducing available support programs to women entrepreneurs and those who are just planning to start a business. Representatives of local institutions and the financial sector presented measures and services aimed at the development of female entrepreneurship, with a special focus on the needs of women from marginalized groups.

Grantees, winners of financial support within the EWI project, had the opportunity to share their experiences and challenges they face when seeking information, financial assistance or institutional support in a direct conversation with representatives of banks and microcredit organizations, the municipality, the center for lifelong learning and the employment office. It was also discussed which specific adjustments to programs and procedures could contribute to greater availability of services for women.

The meeting took place in an interactive and open atmosphere, and the participants judged that the dialogue was extremely useful and meaningful. Established contacts and launched initiatives represent an important step towards longer-term cooperation of local actors and strengthening of support for women in business development, for the benefit of the entire community in Montenegro.

Uspostavljeni kontakti i pokrenute inicijative predstavljaju važan korak ka dugoročnijoj saradnji lokalnih aktera i jačanju podrške ženama u razvoju biznisa, na korist cijele zajednice u CG.
