The project adapts and updates Program Y to respond to emerging challenges facing young people in the Balkans, including mental health, digital violence, environmental sustainability, and the growing influence of anti-gender narratives. The revision process includes needs assessment, participatory consultations with youth in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, pilot testing in schools, and finalization of updated materials for broader national adoption, with expansion to Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. A strong peer-to-peer approach ensures that trained students facilitate discussions, creating safe spaces for open dialogue and critical thinking. Youth Clubs in Belgrade, Banja Luka, and Mostar further strengthen community engagement by enabling young people to lead school projects and advocacy campaigns. Overall, the project empowers youth with life skills, leadership capacities, and practical experience to build safer, more inclusive, and sustainable communities.
