Strengthening Entrepreneurship: Grant Agreements Signed with Selected Women to Start and Improve Businesses and Strengthen Social Entrepreneurship from Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia

Within the framework of the project “EWI – Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women in the Western Balkans”, a significant step has been made in recent days towards strengthening sustainable economic opportunities for women in the region. Through ceremonial ceremonies held in Mostar and Skopje, grant agreements were officially signed with selected social enterprises that directly contribute to the economic empowerment and social inclusion of vulnerable groups with their work, as well as with the recipients of grants for strengthening entrepreneurship.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, on April 16, during the Mostar Business Fair, agreements were signed with the following social enterprises: ProVita Prozor-Rama, MOST M d.o.o. Jablanica, PZ Smokvica Trebinje and Naša Djeca Mostar. These companies have been recognized as key players in the development of tourism, employment of marginalized groups and strengthening of the local economy.

At the same time, in North Macedonia, under the slogan “From grants to policies: Paving the way to economic justice for women”, a ceremony was held to award certificates and grants to companies that will work to improve women’s entrepreneurship in this region.

This support will enable companies to strengthen their technical and operational capacities, creating stable jobs and promoting social economy models that focus on people, not just profit.

The project “EWI – Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women in the Western Balkans” is implemented by CARE Balkans in partnership with the organizations LINK Mostar, ENECA, Tehnopolis and Strategic Development Consulting, with the support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).

Jablanica, PZ Smokvica Trebinje i Naša Djeca Mostar.
