FUTURE FOR YOU(TH)

The project focuses on the systematic integration of life skills education into elementary and
secondary school curricula, accreditation of Program Y and Program E, and strengthening the
capacities of teachers and peer educators. It also expands its reach through cooperation with
universities, digital innovation, and tailored programmes in juvenile correctional institutions
to support prevention of radicalization and successful reintegration.

The long-term objective is to contribute to positive and peaceful societies in Serbia, Kosovo,
Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina by institutionalizing sustainable life skills education
that promotes gender equality, non-violence, and responsible decision-making among young
people.
During the project period, life skills education will be strengthened in 66 elementary and high
schools and 10 universities, directly reaching more than 30,000 students, 1,000 university
students, and 1,200 teachers and school staff. Five juvenile correctional institutions will
implement tailored programmes, engaging 273 young people and 201 social welfare
professionals. Through the Future4Youth Movement, more than 200 representatives of
governmental and educational institutions and over 70,000 community members will
advocate for education reform, indirectly reaching more than 200,000 people. Government
working groups will be established to support the integration of life skills education into
official curricula through action plans and strategic frameworks.
The project is implemented by CARE in partnership with organizations across Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia, ensuring strong regional cooperation and
sustainable impact.
