Future for Youth: Gender Synchronized Life Skills Education in the Balkans

The project successfully established a sustainable foundation for promoting gender equality, nonviolence, and healthy lifestyles among youth in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite regional political instability and social divisions, the project directly engaged 6,420 beneficiaries and reached over 602,344 individuals online through awareness campaigns. Key activities included implementing Program Y workshops for 1,549 students, training 132 peer educators and 110 school staff, and hosting regional leadership events like the “Pitch and Talk” and a youth camp to foster cross-border cooperation. The project demonstrated high adaptability, shifting to theater performances and out-of-school workshops when institutional barriers or student protests blocked traditional school access. Major milestones included the #16Days of Activism campaign against digital violence and the formalization of partnerships with “Schools of Excellence” to ensure long-term program integration. These efforts have empowered a new generation of youth leaders equipped with essential life skills to advocate for social responsibility and inclusion in their communities
