The first round table with the topic “Women’s opportunities in the agricultural sector, property and the specific needs of returnees” was held in the municipality of Ferizaj/Uroševac within the framework of the CARE Balkans project “IWKA – Including Women in Kosovo’s Agribusiness”.

With a total of 43 participants, including agribusiness experts, the vice mayor of the municipality, the director of agriculture, director of gender equality and discrimination, the director of economic development, reintegration, and other municipal officials, the round table was a remarkable gathering of key individuals.

The main goal of this round table was to promote the exchange of knowledge in the agricultural industry, recognize the distinct challenges encountered by women involved in agribusiness, and investigate possible solutions for women and returnees in the municipality. Attendees actively participated in discussions, shared their valuable insights, and emphasized the barriers experienced by women working in agriculture.

The valuable insights from this productive discussion will be synthesized and compiled into a comprehensive report. This report will serve as a roadmap for effective advocacy and will be presented to relevant authorities, ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of women in agriculture are not only acknowledged but also addressed and acted upon.
