Nikšić, March 18 – In the organization of Technopolis partners, a contract was signed with 12 grantees who received financial support for the development of their business ideas. Six women were supported with grants of 2,500 euros for starting a business, while an additional six received 5,000 euros each for the improvement of existing business activities.
Supported businesses come from various sectors – from agriculture and catering, through the organization of children’s events and architectural services, to the development of digital solutions. A particularly inspiring atmosphere was marked by the messages of the grantees who pointed out that, in addition to education and the development of business plans, what meant the most to them was mutual networking, new friendships and support that helped them persevere in the realization of their ideas.
This activity is part of continuous support for the economic empowerment of women through the EWI project, strengthening of entrepreneurial capacities, financial assistance and connection with relevant business actors.
The project “EWI – Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women of the Western Balkans” is implemented by CARE Balkans in partnership with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Technopolis from Nikšić, in cooperation with regional partners: ENECA (Serbia), LINK Mostar (BiH), and Strategic Development Consulting (North Macedonia).
