CARE Balkans is inviting qualified experts to support the EWI Regional Innovation Fund through the evaluation of innovation applications and delivery of online mentoring to selected teams.
Experts may apply for one or more of the following thematic areas:
• Lot 1: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Models
• Lot 2: Digital Innovation and Technology
• Lot 3: Green Economy, Circular Economy and Environmental Sustainability
• Lot 4: Women’s Economic Empowerment, Gender Equality and Social Innovation
• Lot 5: Finance, Investment Readiness and Scaling
Selected experts will contribute to the professional evaluation of Expressions of Interest and, where relevant, support 6–8 selected teams through a four-week online Mentorship and Accelerator Programme.
The assignment is part-time and fully online, with an indicative engagement period of October–November 2026.
Applicants should have at least five years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated expertise in the Lot(s) for which they apply. Experience in evaluation, mentoring, acceleration, entrepreneurship support or innovation programmes will be considered particularly relevant.

Experts are required to be nationals or residents of one of the EWI implementation countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, or Montenegro.
