Mayor of Modriča Jovica Radulović and representatives of the Association of Citizens “Budućnost” signed an Agreement on Cooperation today, in order to strengthen mutual cooperation and improve the position of marginalized groups within the project “Socio-economic interventions to reduce the harmful effects caused by the outbreak of Covid-19 virus in Modriča and Vukosavlje”.
“Our organization have satisfaction to work in supportive environment and that by cooperating with the municipality of Modriča, we have the opportunity to contribute to mitigating the consequences caused by the appearance of the Covid-19 virus. We sincerely hope that the realization of this project will open some new opportunities for improving the position of members of marginalized groups“, said Biljana Savičić, on behalf of UG “Budućnost “.
As part of this project, which will last until February 2023, representatives of UG “Budućnost” will, among other things, provide assistance to selected users in the municipalities of Modriča and Vukosavlje, organize training for business development, provide professional support and monitoring activities, but also knowledge exchange events at the local and regional level. Signing of the Agreement with the municipality is a positive contribution to all these activities.
“By signing the Agreement on cooperation with the municipality of Modriča already established cooperation has been improved and additionally defined, now within this project, with the aim of more efficient support and protection of members of marginalized categories, especially improving crisis resilience and socio-economic situation of the elderly women and people with disabilities, who are the target group of this project”, said Ana Cvijanović, project coordinator.
The mayor of Modriča, Jovica Radulović, also expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation.
“The Municipality of Modriča and I, as Mayor, are especially proud to continue cooperation with the NGO sector, especially in mitigating the effects and consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, and I sincerely hope that this cooperation will bring good results and help all marginalized groups involved in this project” , Radulović pointed out.
Branislav Tanasijevic, project manager of Care International, also attended the signing of the Cooperation Agreement.
The project “Socio-economic interventions to reduce the harmful effects caused by the outbreak of Covid-19 in Modriča and Vukosavlje” is implemented by the Association of Citizens “Budućnost”, as one of the partner organizations participating in the project “Covid-19 Nexus response for improving the socio-economic situation of marginalized people in 6 Western Balkans countries”, implemented by CARE International Balkans and funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
