CARE in Kosovo signs a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Podujeva for the Implementation of the Project: Advancing Kosovo Women’s Agribusiness Inclusion (AKWA).
The purpose of this agreement is to increase the capacities of women in agriculture and equip them with modernized production equipment. Meanwhile, the objective of the project is to contribute to a more gender-inclusive socio-economic development in rural areas, improving the competitiveness of their agribusinesses by enabling a favorable environment for socio-economic development, etc.

The agreement will focus on investments in the most profitable sectors of agriculture such as the establishment of small greenhouses for vegetable cultivation, beekeeping equipment, small agricultural machinery and dairy equipment.
This Agreement will enable to increase the number of women farmers supported by AKWA project through trainings on capacity building for developing their agribusiness, promotion, and financing.
