Representatives of the Association of Citizens “Budućnost” visited members of the Association for Asisstance to Mentally Underdeveloped Persons “Sunce” in Modriča and delivered them 20 food and hygiene packages, as a sign of support for their work in the field of protection of the rights of marginalized persons.
“We are glad that, thanks to CARE International in BiH – Sarajevo and the Austrian Development Cooperation, we were able to help families whose members are part of the Association for Helping Mentally Underdeveloped Persons” Sunce “. “Modrica is a municipality in which there are not a large number of associations that help marginalized people, and we believe that this is exactly why we need to take care of each other,” the UG “Budućnost” announced.
The packages were provided within the project “Socio-economic interventions to reduce the harmful effects caused by the outbreak of Covid-19 in Modriča and Vukosavlje”, which is implemented by the Association of Citizens “Budućnost”, as portion of the regional project “Covid-19 Nexus response for improving the socio-economic situation of marginalized people in 6 Western Balkans countries”, implemented by CARE International Balkans and funded by the Austrian Development Agency.
