On July 20-21, within the cooperation of CARE Caucasus and CARE Balkans – a two-day consultative workshop was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, during which YMI team shared extensive experience in working with young people on transforming gender norms, preventing violence, engaging men and boys and promoting healthy lifestyles.
CARE Caucasus team together with the partner discussed the ways to adapt and implement the multi-year experience and methodology of Balkans in the Georgian context, which would result in the integration of the YMI portfolio in CARE Caucasus work.
Core of YMI intervention is educational curriculum Program Y, designed to elicit critical reflection on the gender norms that drive violence and other unhealthy behaviors.
Exchange was organized within the project “Youth Voices for Peace”, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds of Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and implemented by CARE Caucasus and Consent in close collaboration with CARE Austria and CARE Balkans.
