A total of 49 grants contracts were signed to support women led agricultural businesses and startups, with women from Prishtina/Priština, Graçanica/Gračanica, Ferizaj/Uroševac and Junik, within the framework of the CARE Balkans project “IWKA – Including Women in Kosovo’s Agribusiness”!
With support of the grants, women will realize their long-term business ideas in agriculture, generate income, become household pillars and, in a long run, create conditions to employ other women in their businesses.
Apart from this donation, the project will organize continuous trainings, exchange visits, monitoring and coaching to enhance agricultural and business skills of the supported women, seeking to maximize their potential for growth and become leaders in their communities.
The project “Inclusion of Women in Kosovo Agribusiness – IWKA” is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Economic Development (BMZ) through Engagement Global GgmbH, and implemented by CARE International and local partner organizations: Kosovo-Women 4 Women (K-W4W) and the Civil Right Program Kosovo (CRP/K).
