At the end of April, CARE International Balkans held a regional workshop “Building the Movement” on the mountain Jahorina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the project “For Active Inclusion and the Rights of Roma Women in the Western Balkans”, which is funded by Austrian Development Agency.

“By holding this workshop, we wanted to contribute to Roma women to have the capacity to be a regional and global part of the initiatives of social movements that promote and advocate for gender equality,” said CARE’s project manager Jadranka Milicevic.

Participants in the regional workshop were representatives of partner organizations: Center for Roma Initiatives Nikšić; Network PRVA Montenegro; Romani Cikna Kruševac; Roma Women’s  Center Veliki Crljani / Lazarevac; OSVIT Niš; Roma Women’s Networks of the Republic of Serbia; The Roma Women’s Association Better future of the City of Tuzla; Organizations for the promotion of Roma education “Otaharin” Bjeljina; Women’s Roma Networks USPJEH of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
