Within the framework of the project “IWKA – Including Women in Kosovo’s Agribusiness”, 25 women as grant beneficiaries signed the contract to support them in establishing businesses in agriculture.

These women are from the targeted municipalities of Prishtina/Priština, Graçanica/Gračanica, Ferizaj/Uroševac and Junik have signed the contracts.

The project is providing financial assistance through grants (10.000 EUR average) as well as technical support in terms of improving their agricultural and business skills.

From its start in March 2022, the IWKA project has directly supported 93 women with in-kind grants. Additionally, the project, this year will initiate to support women to establish associations of cooperatives in their area, further contributing to their communities and solidifying women’s role in agriculture.

The project “Inclusion of Women in Kosovo Agribusiness – IWKA” is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Economic Development (BMZ) through Engagement Global gGmbH, and implemented by CARE International and local partner organizations: Kosovo-Women 4 Women (K-W4W) and the Civil Right Program Kosovo (CRP/K).
