Yesterday in Modriča, the Association of Citizens Budućnost organized a round table entitled “Joint responsibility for the well-being of the community”. The aim of the round table was to promote the benefits of social entrepreneurship for the development of local communities, the possibility of opening a dialogue between partners, as well as improving understanding of the specifics, but also the potential for social entrepreneurship in Modriča.

The event is organized in partnership with the Association of Citizens for the Promotion of Roma Education “Otaharin” from Bijeljina and the Association of Women “Maja Kravica” from Bratunac, as part of the project “Enhanced social protection by building capacities of the civil society organizations (CSOs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which is implemented by CARE International Balkans and  funded by the Austrian Development Agency.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of five NGOs to improve access to social rights, protection and care for vulnerable categories in BiH.

Social entrepreneurship contributes to the development and well-being of the local community by promoting social responsibility and supporting the most vulnerable members of society.

In order for social entrepreneurship to achieve maximum positive effect, it is necessary that other relevant actors in the local community, such as institutions, companies, non-governmental organizations, are directly involved in creating a favorable climate for the functioning of social entrepreneurship.
