A four days training on integration in educational processes of children of returnees and other marginalised groups was organised Within the CARE’s project New Economic Opportunities for Returnees and Vulnerable Citizens in South and East Serbia on November 04-07 November, for 24 professionals (teachers, pedagogists, minority assistants) from 12 primary schools of the cities in southern and eastern Serbia: Niš (two municipalities), Bela Palanka, Vranje, Leskovac, Bujanovac, Vlasotince, Bor, Negotin, Knjaževac, Zaječar and Pirot.

This participative training/workshop facilitated a better insight into the needs and constraints of the marginalised pupils and their rights as children. It provided new methodologies to school professionals for the provision of specific support for these pupils in achievement of their needs and reaching their rights, for belongingness, peer and social acceptance, for security and gaining knowledge.

The training was designed and delivered by the NGO Nexus from Vranje, CARE’s implementing partner organisation.  It was entirely based on the vast professional knowledge and experience of the Nexus team, gained within their years of engagement in facilitation of a more inclusive educational system in Serbia.
